Living Labs as ecosystems based on the quadruple helix model of sectoral representation – public, private, academic and civil society – are best-positioned to foster collaborative actions that address grand societal challenges as a bottoms-up, inclusive approach

* By bringing together a richness and multiplicity of actors and understandings, living labs support a framework for dialogue and sharing knowledge on several socio-ecological themes

* By hosting a vast panoply of activities that support the Collaborative Leadership Process, representation from across the sectors are able to interact comprehensively where normally such interaction does not take place on a regular basis

* By convening events, a cross-section of a community is prepared to respond to new job demands caused by collective social agendas and public funding directed to achieve various societal challenges, including the twin transitions – the greening of society and

digitalization - for all sectors

* By adding elements of EntreComp – entrepreneurship education and training as defined by the EU as “creating value”, living labs support environments that foster engagement in

social innovation that can be applied to address myriad challenges

to co-create solutions to global concerns
